TAUNTON - A memorial service for Lyle Jay Hovland, 73, of Taunton will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rehkamp-Horvath Funeral Home in Minneota.
He died Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at the Clarkfield Care Center in Clarkfield.
He was born April 29, 1939, on a farm near Minneota, to Alvin and Edna (Dillon) Hovland. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged.
He donated his body for research to the University of Minnesota Anatomy Request Program.
He is survived by three brothers, Lennis (and Arlyss) Hovland of Marshall, Mark (and Jeanette) Hovland of Minneota, Tom Hovland of Minneota and one sister, Sheryl (and Butch) Kaas of Minneota.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Maurie Lee Hovland.
