MARSHALL - A 31-year-old man was taken into custody Friday evening in Marshall after an incident involving a gun was resolved. Police were called to the house on the 700 block of North 5th Street at 5:58 p.m. Upon arrival, Police said, officers were met by an adult family member who told them the gun was secure and the subject was waiting in the house for them. The weapon was not loaded when it was located inside the residence, Police said, and there were no injuries reported. Police said there were a number of children inside the house during the incident. Marshall Police said the suspect was taken into custody and brought to the Emergency Room for evaluation. Several other weapons were located at the house and turned over to a family member, Police said. The Lyon County Sheriff's Office responded at the scene along with the MPD.
