HENDRICKS?- Services for Rudolf "Rudy" Hamer, 85, of Hendricks will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Hendricks Hospital Chapel, with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will resume Wednesday, one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Hendricks City Cemetery, Hendricks. The Birk Funeral Home in Hendricks is entrusted with the arrangements.
He died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at the Hendricks Nursing Home.
He was born March 18, 1927, to Rudolf and Emma (Brandt) Hamer in Lake Benton. In 1950, he served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl of Hendricks; son, Greg of Hendricks; daughter, Denise Sternke of Lino Lakes; and two granddaughters.
