Despite committing seven errors, the Lamberton Long Sox breezed past Springfield 8-1 in a Tomahawk East League game played Wednesday in Lamberton.
The Long Sox scored their eight runs on just six hits. They capitalized on five walks and six hit batters.
Derrick Jenniges led the Lamberton offense, going 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Donald Strand and Mike Wotschke each added two RBIs for the Longs Sox.
On the mound, Johnny Pistulka tossed a complete game for Lamberton and picked up the win. He struck out eight batters, walked three and gave up six hits. Springfield's lone run was unearned.
The Long Sox (20-4 overall, 16-2 Tomahawk) continue their three-game homestand Friday with a game against Sleepy Eye.
