Milroy Irish 10, Tracy 3
Four runs in the top of the first inning got the Milroy Irish off to a strong start Sunday against the Tracy Express as they rolled to a 10-3 victory in Tracy in the regular season finale for both teams.
The Irish also scored three runs in the fifth inning and three more in the ninth.
Dominic Dolan hit a home run for the Irish and finished the game 3-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Derek Riley was 3-for-5 with a double.
Tyler Peterson tossed eight innings for Milroy and earned the win. He gave up 10 hits and three runs without recording a strikeout or a walk.
Tracy left 13 runners on base, including seven in scoring position.
Eric Wiering had three extra-base hits for the Express, going 3-for-4 with a home run and two doubles. Tracy's Jesse Drager and Robbie Slinkman each had two hits.

A walk-off hit by pitch gave the Lamberton Long Sox a 3-2 win in 10 innings against St. James Sunday in a Tomahawk League game played in Lamberton.
Holden Salfer led off the bottom of the 10th by drawing a walk for the Long Sox. He later scored the winning run when Johnny Pistulka was hit by a pitch by St. James' Dave Krause, who pitched the whole game.
Pistulka finished the game 2-for-4 with two triples and two RBIs. Tyler Reiner was 2-for-2 with a double, and Derrick Jenniges was 2-for-4 with a triple.
Jenniges also got the win on the mound. He pitched all 10 innings, giving up just three hits.
The Long Sox (22-4 overall, 18-2 Tomahawk East) play against Wednesday in Springfield.

Irish earn Saturday sweep
The Milroy Irish finished their home schedule Saturday with a pair of wins at Irish Yard. Milroy first beat Mountain Lake 10-0 in six innings and then snuck past the Pipestone A's for a 2-1 victory.
Against Mountain Lake, Cody Mather tossed the first five innings for Milroy and earned the victory. He struck out two, walked two and allowed three hits in the shutout performance.
Offensively, Milroy got two doubles from Anthony Dolan, while Mather went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Milroy scored a run in the third and another in the fourth in its 2-1 win over Pipestone. The winning run came on an RBI single by Dan Frank, who knocked in Dolan with a single after Dolan stole second.
Clay Ellis earned the victory on the mound, tossing a complete game. He struck out four, walked two and allowed just two hits.
The Irish end the regular season with a 14-17 record and will begin the Gopher League playoffs Wednesday, with their opponent to be determined.

Wilmont 7, Hadley 3
Gopher League champion Wilmont picked up a 7-3 win over the Hadley Buttermakers Sunday in Hadley.
Wilmont pitchers Stew Rogers and Justin Saufley held the Buttermakers to just four hits. Rogers pitched the first six innings of the seven-inning game and earned the victory.
Jay Scheidt had a home run for the Cardinals, and Steven Kremer and Blake Rogers each had a double.
For Hadley, Eric Wieneke had an RBI triple and Paul Counter hit a double.
Zach Bruns pitched the whole game for Hadley. He gave up seven runs (four earned) on 10 hits with four walks and five strikeouts.
The Buttermakers finish the season with an 11-13 overall record, 10-8 in Gopher League play.

Ortonville
The Canby Knights ended their regular season schedule with a 13-11 win at Montevideo Friday followed by a 5-2 loss to Ortonville in Canby on Saturday.
The Knights had 14 hits in their win over Montevideo and scored two runs in the top of the ninth to pull ahead for the win. They were led by a big night by Trever Citrowske, who went 3-for-5 with a home run, a triple and three RBIs. Tate Citrowske and Dusty Roemhild each had two hits for Canby. One of Roemhild's hits was a triple.
Saturday, Ortonville Rox pitcher Joe Fuller struck out 14 batters in a complete-game win. He didn't walk a batter and allowed seven hits.
Trever Citrowske went 2-for-4 for Canby in the losing effort.
The Knights end the season 9-11 overall and 9-7 in Land O'Ducks play. They begin the playoffs Saturday in Ortonville against Rosen.
