MARSHALL - Derald Kenneth Baze, 21, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court July 16 on two counts of second degree driving while impaired charges. A complaint alleges Baze drove while impaired in Marshall on July 14. Bail was set at $12,000 without conditions, or with conditions including abstain from alcohol and drugs, do not enter bars or liquor stores, and be subject to random tests. A hearing was set for July 31.

MARSHALL - Maria Pearl Buysse, 21, of Minneota, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court July 17 to charges of third degree driving while impaired - driving with an alcohol level of .08 or higher, court records said. Buysse drove with an alcohol level of .22 in Marshall on June 22, court records said. Buysse received a stayed sentence of 180 days in jail, a $700 fine, and two years probation with conditions including abide by laws and obtain a chemical use assessment. Additional charges of third degree driving while impaired were dismissed.

MARSHALL - Todd Mykle Roberts, 40, of Balaton, appeared in Lyon County District Court July 17 on charges of interfering with an emergency call and two counts of domestic assault charges. A complaint alleges Roberts interfered with an emergency call and assaulted a woman in Lyon County on March 18. A jury trial was set for Oct. 31-Nov. 1. A pretrial hearing was set for Oct. 23.

MARSHALL - Thomas Dean Keiser, 67, of Tracy pleaded guilty to charges of violating a restricted driver's license, court records said. Keiser drove in violation of a restricted license in Tracy on Jan. 31, court records said. Keiser was sentenced to one year in jail, with 335 days stayed, to pay a $300 fine, and two years probation with conditions including serve 30 days in jail with credit for time served and good behavior, abstain from alcohol and drugs and abide by laws.

MARSHALL - Bryce Lamont Verkinderen, 43, of Ghent, appeared in Lyon County District Court July 18 on charges of driving after cancellation - inimical to public safety, and failure to provide proof of insurance. A complaint alleges Verkinderen drove with a cancelled license in Marshall on May 24. A hearing was set for Aug. 14.

MARSHALL - Jeremy Jans Kor, 34, of marshall appeared in Lyon County District court July 18, on charges of driving after cancellation - inimical to public safety. A complaint alleges Kor drove with a cancelled license in Marshall on June 1. A hearing was set for July 31.
