The Marshall Legion baseball team ended the regular season with a positive on Friday, as the Mudcats defeated Willmar for a 10-3 road victory.
Mason Schnaible crushed the ball all over the field on Friday, going 2-for-5 with a triple and a double, piling up five RBIs and two runs. Riley Carpenter, Colton Peterson and Leo Zerr each had two hits, with Peterson knocking a solo home run in the sixth inning.
Aaron Mathiowetz put in a solid outing on the mound for Marshall, holding Willmar to three runs and two walks for a complete-game victory.
The Mudcats start District 7 play on Wednesday in Litchfield. Their opponent is yet to be determined.
