PIPESTONE - One person was taken into police custody in Pipestone on Monday morning, as the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation, the Pipestone County Sheriff's Office said.
The Pipestone County Sheriff's Office and the Buffalo Ridge Drug Task Force executed two drug-related search warrants at 8:45 a.m., in apartments in a building commonly known as the Pipestone Building, a release from the sheriff's office said. Two apartments involving known gang members were searched, the sheriff's office said. A pregnant female was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamines as a result of the investigation, and investigators seized evidence, the sheriff's office said.
The investigation is ongoing. The H.E.A.T. Tactical Team, Worthington Police K9 and members of the Cee-VI Drug Task Force of Willmar also assisted in Monday's investigation, the sheriff's office said.
