Arrest made in Ampride robbery

MARSHALL - An arrest has been made in the armed robbery of an Ampride station in Marshall in November, Marshall Police said Wednesday.

Police said a Marshall man, 33, has been arrested in connection with the crime and is currently in custody at the Lyon County Jail.

On Nov. 29, 2011, Marshall Police responded to reports that the Cenex Ampride located at 1100 East Main Street had been robbed at knifepoint.

No one was injured during the incident, but the robber brandished a knife and demanded money from clerks.

The name of the man arrested in connection with the robbery has not been released.

As of Thursday, no charges related to the robbery had yet been filed in Lyon County District Court.
