TMB 3, Canby 2

The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton volleyball team edged out Canby in Camden Conference action Thursday night, winning in five sets.

The Panthers (4-5 overall, 3-0 Camden) battled back from losing the fourth set to win 22-25, 25-18, 26-24, 15-25, 15-9.

Jenna Stoneberg led the attack for TMB with 17 kills. Sammie Gervais had 13 kills to go with a 17-for-17 serving performance.

Cassandra Hook recorded 39 set assists and was 12-of-15 serving with two aces.

The Lancers (8-4, 2-2) were paced by Taylor Gorder, who had 22 kills to go with 21 digs and two blocks. Kristy Schmidt had 49 set assists and 15 digs while Alayna Pederson added 11 kills and Hannah Jessen had 23 digs.

TMB will be at the Jackson County Central Tournament on Saturday, while Canby will be in action again next Tuesday when the Lancers play host to Central Minnesota Christian.

The Minneota volleyball team stayed perfect in the Camden Conference with a sweep of Russell-Tyler-Ruthton on Thursday night.

Minneota won by scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-14.

The Vikings (9-2 overall, 4-0 Camden) were led by Faith Laleman's 24-for-24 with three aces performance serving. Karissa Bot was 12-for-12 with an ace and Megan Larson was 11-for-11 with two aces.

Taylor Reiss had 12 kills while Molly Hennen had 14 digs and Larson added 28 set assists.

For The Knights (5-6, 1-3), Janel Wichern led the way with seven kills and 10 digs while Destinee Strand was 7-for-7 with an ace serving and had 10 set assists. Anna Madsen was 8-for-8 serving, and Delanie Jorgensen had 12 digs.

Minneota will take part in the Jackson County Central Tournament this weekend, while RTR will host its own tournament.

The Murray County Central volleyball team moved to 2-2 on the season and 2-0 in the conference with a three-game sweep of Red Rock Central.

The Rebels were led by Taylor Schreier's 12 kills, 11 digs and three ace serves. Kristi Bose added 10 kills to go with 14 digs and an ace serve, while Jade Giese and Paris Thomas had 12 and 10 set assists, respectively.

The Rebels will be in action again on Monday when they play host to Pipestone.

The Dawson-Boyd volleyball team swept Lakeview in straight sets on Thursday in Camden Conference play in Dawson.

The Blackjacks (5-2 overall, 2-2 Camden) were led by Mari Lee, who had 17 kills and three blocks. Justine Flattum added 24 set assists and was 19-for-20 with three aces in the win.

The Lakers (7-3, 1-2) had five kills and three blocks from Brianna Hoffman, while Tegan VanMoer added five kills and 10 digs. Kana Barker came away with 11 set assists in the loss.

Both teams will be at the Montevideo Tournament this weekend.

The Westbrook-Walnut Grove Volleyball team swept Hills-Beaver Creek on Thursday in Red Rock Conference action in Hills

The Chargers (9-1 overall, 1-1 RRC) won 25-16, 25-7 and 25-17.

Abby Herding was 15-for-16 serving with four aces and recorded 20 set assists. Paige Erickson was 16-for-17 serving with four aces to go with 11 kills and 10 digs.

Dayna Comnick had 11 kills and eight digs while Hunter Priegnitz was 9-for-9 with two aces serving.

WWG will play in the Jackson County Central Tournament on Saturday before playing host to Ellsworth in Westbrook on Tuesday.

The Wabasso volleyball team suffered the first loss of its season on Thursday, falling to Gibbon-Winthrop-Fairfax in four sets, 27-25, 9-25, 25-22, 25-22 in Fairfax in Tomahawk Conference action.

Chelsey Guetter led the Rabbits (4-1 overall, 1-1 Tomahawk) with 15 kills to go with two blocks and she was 14-of-14 with an ace.

Kimberly Frank was 17-for-19 serving with 31 set assists to go with seven kills and three blocks in the loss.

Desi Kramer was 15-of-15 serving and recorded 11 kills and two blocks.

Wabasso will be in the Montevideo Tournament this weekend before playing host to Buffalo Lake-Hector on Tuesday.

The Rebels (0-10 overall) were led by Alyssa Otto, who had four kills while KaLea DeSmet had nine digs. Maranda Jerzak added three ace serves and Caroline Bunjer had six set assists.

Lincoln HI will play in the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Tournament this weekend before playing host to Renville County West on Tuesday.
