MARSHALL - Jacob Dwayne Jackson, 50, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 25 on two counts of second degree driving while impaired charges. A complaint alleges Jackson drove with an alcohol level of .14 in Marshall on Aug. 15, and had two prior DWI convictions. The court found probable cause for the charges, and a hearing was set for Oct. 23.

MARSHALL - Casey Eugene Olson, 26, of Balaton, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Sept. 25 to charges of second degree driving while impaired, court records said. Olson drove with an alcohol level of .17 in Marshall on Aug. 1, court records said. A sentencing hearing was set for Oct. 23.

MARSHALL - Siyaad Cali Shire, 32, of Lawrenceville, Ga., appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 25 on charges of refusing to submit to a chemical test and failure to display lights on a motor vehicle. A complaint alleges Shire refused to submit to a chemical test during a traffic stop in Marshall on July 7. The court found probable cause for the charges, and a hearing was set for Oct. 23.

MARSHALL - Amber Felicity Wigton, 31, of Tracy, appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 25 on charges of fifth degree controlled substance crime, fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, driving after cancellation - inimical to public safety, giving a false name and date of birth to a peace officer, possessing a weapon without a permit, obstructing legal process and possession of drug paraphernalia. A complaint alleges Wigton fled a traffic stop in Lyon County on Sept. 9 and possessed methamphetamines and a pistol without a permit. A hearing was set for Oct. 23.

MARSHALL - Michael Jerome Gruhlke, 50, of Jackson, appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 25 on charges of driving after cancellation - inimical to public safety, and driving a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock. A complaint alleges Gruhlke drove with a canceled license and in violation of driving restrictions in Marshall on Aug. 26. The court found probable cause for the charges, and a hearing was set for Oct. 23.

MARSHALL - Kathryn Jean Brown, 50, of Tyler, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Sept. 25 to charges of second degree driving while impaired - refusal to test, court records said. Brown refused to submit to a chemical test in Marshall on May 24, court records said. A sentencing hearing was set for Oct. 23.

MARSHALL - David Brian Staudt, 40, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 25 on charges of fifth degree controlled substance crime - liability for crimes of another. A complaint alleges Staudt or an accomplice grew or manufactured marijuana in Marshall between May and June. The hearing was continued to Oct. 23.

MARSHALL - Jennifer J. Katz, 58, of Minneota, pleaded innocent in Lyon County District Court Sept. 25 to charges of theft by wrongfully obtaining assistance and perjury. A complaint alleges Katz failed to report income in Lyon County between March and June, resulting in more than $3,000 in overpayment of benefits. A trial was set for Nov. 1-2. A pretrial hearing was set for Oct. 23.

MARSHALL - Edward Charles Leonard, 41, of Tracy, appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 25 on charges of driving after cancellation - inimical to public safety. A complaint alleges Leonard drove with a canceled license in Lyon County. A plea hearing was set for Oct. 23.
