SLAYTON - Services for Leroy Brockberg, 94, of Slayton will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Slayton. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday. Burial is at Slayton Memorial Gardens, Slayton.
He died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at the Golden Living Center-Slayton.
He was born June 3, 1918, on the family farm north of Trosky, to Paul and Alvina Meyer Brockberg. On Jan. 9, 1942, he enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps and served in North Africa, Italy and Western Europe. He received his honorable discharge on Oct. 3, 1945.
Survivors include his five children, Thomas of Mankato, James of West Des Moines, Iowa, Bill of Slayton, Faye Mollenhauer of Montevideo and Mark of Onalaska, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. Harold Brockberg of Alexandria, and Paul Brockberg of Pipestone.
