We're writing in support of the upcoming vote that will help Marshall continue to grow. As a volunteer fireman and parents with kids in youth athletics, the expansion of the MERIT Center and building the regional sports facility will provide a lot for a little. For a small amount, based on what you spend in town, we can have some great assets added to the Marshall community. The MERIT Center gets increased training capacity so they can continue their great work and our youth get additional opportunities to compete in sports. With the 0.5 percent sales tax and 1.5 percent hospitality tax, we can continue moving forward. Do we want to be a green and growing community, or ripe and rotting? It's up to us.
