TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
The City of Marshall, Minnesota, will receive bids in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 344 West Main Street in Marshall, Minnesota, until 10:00 a.m. on October 31, 2012, for the following project in MARSHALL, MINNESOTA:
Project Z13: t.h. 23 Sanitary Sewer MAIN EXTENSION Project -- This project involves the installation of sanitary sewer along T.H. 23 from Southview Court to approximately 1,200 feet northeasterly.
Estimated quantities of major work items for the project are as follows:

Immediately following expiration of the time for receiving bids, the City Clerk/Financial Director and Director of Public Works/City Engineer or their designee will publicly open bids in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 344 West Main Street.
All bidders are required to become acquainted with the extent of the work and the conditions under which the work will be performed.
All bids shall be made on the printed proposal forms of the City incorporated in the Project Manual and shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check, payable to the order of the City for not less than 10% of the bid.
Bids shall be directed to the City Clerk/Financial Director, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper with a brief statement for the summary as to the work for which the bid is made.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of any bid, to waive minor defects, technicalities, or any informalities in the bidding or to advertise for new proposals, and to accept that bid deemed to be in the City's best interest.
Plans and Specifications are on file at the Office of the City Engineer located at 344 West Main Street, Marshall, MN 56258, telephone: 507-537-6773. Vendors who desire specifications may secure them from the City Engineer. Copies of the plans and specifications will be furnished on request to any prospective bidder upon a deposit of $50.00 (nonrefundable) made payable to the City of Marshall.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least 90 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
