PUBLIC NOTICE
Pre-Registration for the November 6, 2012 General Election ended on October 16, 2012. Any individual that is not registered to vote will need to register on Election Day at your polling location.
ELECTION DAY REGISTRATION AUTHORIZED PROOF OF RESIDENCE
Everyone who registers on Election Day must have proof of residence in the precinct. A voter can use one of the methods described below.
1. Voters may use the following ID's With Current Name and Address in Precinct
a. Valid MN Driver's License, MN Learner's Permit or MN ID card or
receipt for any of these that has current name and address in the precinct.
b. Current valid Student ID provided the student appears on Post
secondary Education Housing List.
c. Prior registration in the Precinct with former Name or Address shown on Roster.
d. Notice of Late Registration sent by Auditor/Treasurer's Office.
e. Tribal ID card with Name, Current Address, Signature and Picture issued
by the tribal government of a tribe recognized by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
2. Photo ID Plus a Utility Bill or Fee Statement
a. Photo ID MN Drivers License or MN ID card with former address.
U.S. Passport
U.S. Military ID
Student Photo ID from a Post Secondary School in MN
Tribal ID card with Name, Signature and Picture
b. Acceptable Bills Must have Voter's Name and Current Address in Precinct.
Utility Bill due within 30 Days of Election (regardless electronic or mail)
-Telephone, TV or Internet Service Provider
-Electric, Gas, Water, Garbage, Sewer or Solid Waste
Current Student Fee Statement
Rent Statement dated within 30 days of Election that Itemizes Utilities
3."Vouching" for Residency Oath of a Registered Voter in the Precinct
