To the editor:
There has been a mountain of reasons advanced about why same sex marriages should be acceptable. However, with regard to "the reason" of marriage, Jesus simply said, "at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.'" Matthew 19: 4-5 (NIV). Jesus was quoting "the reason" of marriage as stated by God in Genesis 1:27 and 2:23-24.
Therefore, at creation, God defined "the reason" of marriage to be the uniting of a man and a woman, because God made them that way. Jesus seconded that motion. Whether it's in your bedroom, boardroom, voting booth, or church; you vote against both your Creator and your Savior when you go against their reason.
Aren't these the real questions at hand? Question 1: Why did man raise this issue, who will the losers be, and what is the price to pay? God's Answer: Romans 1: 18-32. Question 2: What is the solution to the problem? God's Answer: 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11
