The Marshall Bantam A hockey team was on the road over the weekend, losing in Monticello Saturday and earning a victory over Redwood Falls on Sunday.

The Tigers were up against a high-powered offensive attack Saturday against Monticello and lost a 7-1 contest. Sebastian Landry scored the lone Marshall goal in the losing effort.

Marshall was able to break through Sunday with a 4-2 win in Redwood Falls.

Dillion Criquet-Danielson gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead with an unassisted second-period goal. Matt VanKeulen added another goal in the second period on an assist from Clay Stevens to put Marshall up 2-0.

Redwood Falls battled back in the third period to tie the game, but Marshall answered twice in the final three minutes for the two-goal win. The first goal came when Blake VanKeulen scored on an assist from Aaron Owen. Landry then assisted on a second goal by Blake VanKeulen. Marshall goalie Sam Kontz had a strong performance in net, stopping 26 of 28 shots on goal.
