The Wabasso/Red Rock Central wrestling team routed the competition at a triangular in Worthington on Tuesday, winning two duals by a combined score of 125-13.
The Bobcats, who are ranked No. 4 in Class A, bounced Quad County 66-4 in one match and cruised past host Worthington/ Round Lake-Brewster 59-9 in the other match.
The match between Quad County and Worthington/ RL-B was a competitive one, as Quad County squeaked by 38-35. Quad County won seven of the first nine matches before Worthington/RL-B reeled off five straight wins to close the match, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit.
Wabasso/RRC is back in action today with a home triangular against New Ulm and Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Area, which is the fifth-ranked team in Class A. The triangular will be held in Lamberton.
Quad County will compete in a triangular with Paynesville and Minnewaska Area today at Minnewaska Area High School.
