MARSHALL - Graveside memorial services for Norman Lee Baldwin, 81, of Marshall, formerly of Kooskia, Idaho, will be June 15 in Tahoe Ridge, Kooskia, Idaho. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice House, 1107 Skyline Circle, Marshall, MN, 56258. Stephens Funeral Service - Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at the Prairie Home Hospice in Marshall.

He was born Dec. 24, 1931, at the family home on Tahoe Ridge near Kooskia, Idaho, to Frank and Mabel (Lyons) Baldwin. He served in the U.S. Marines in 1952, but was given an honorable discharge in a month for medical reasons. Then in 1954 he was called to help transport new recruits from Grangeville, Idaho, to Spokane, Wash., to the recruiting office.

Survivors include his son Norman Ray of Tracy; daughter Bonnie Ford of Emmett, Idaho; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; siblings: James of Kooskia, Elsie Morgan of Port Angeles, Wash., Violet Kinnick of Kamiah, Idaho, Elva McFeron of Kamiah, Idaho, Leonard of Orofino, Dan of Elk City, Idaho, Jeff of Kooskia and Martha Goff of Meridian.
