Fulda 75, WWG 67 (OT)

Westbrook-Walnut Grove's Paige Erickson drained a free throw with 10 seconds remaining in regulation play to send the game into overtime, recording the 1,000th point of her career in the process. Despite Erickson's double-double of 33 points and 15 rebounds, the Chargers couldn't quite pull off the win, falling to Fulda 75-67 in Red Rock Conference action Friday night in Westbrook.

Dayna Comnick drilled three 3-pointers en route to scoring 15 points for WWG along with adding six boards and three blocked shots. Abby Herding collected six assists and four steals.

Fulda was led by Sariah Cheadle, who chipped in 23 points and seven rebounds, while Rachel Cheadle added 18 points, seven boards and four steals. Amanda Schumacher contributed 10 points and four steals, while Brittney Hermeling scored nine points, hauled down seven rebounds and dished out four assists.

WWG (5-7 overall, 4-4 Red Rock) will travel to Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on Tuesday.

After taking a commanding 36-10 halftime lead, the Wabasso Rabbits cruised to a 70-41 victory in Tomahawk Conference action Friday night in Wabasso.

Karlee Eichten led the Wabasso offense with 14 points, while Kimberly Frank chipped in 12 points, six assists and four steals. Chelsey Guetter contributed 10 points, while Kacie Rothmeier had nine. Desi Kramer added 10 rebounds.

Jordan Salonek hit four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points for the Tigers.

The Rabbits (9-2 overall, 5-1 Tomahawk) play host to Red Rock Central today.

Kaylie Nielsen posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton girls' basketball team to a 45-43 Camden Conference win Friday in Tyler.

Leslie Willert contributed a team-high 14 points for the Knights, while Janel Wichern chipped in nine points and five assists. Allison Pochardt added seven points and nine rebounds.

Sadie Treml led the Jaguars with 14 points, nine rebounds and seven steals. Molly Elliot scored 11 points, while Grace Robertson recorded nine boards.

RTR (8-4 overall, 6-1 Camden) continues action on the road against Central Minnesota Christian School on Thursday.

Corbyn Wee's 24 points and four steals helped the Lakeview girls basketball team earn a 68-32 win over Lincoln HI Friday in Ivanhoe.

Brianna Hoffman also had a big night for the Lakers, with 13 points and 14 rebounds, while Madi Nelson had a game-high seven assists.

Heidi Pavek led the Rebels with 11 points. Morgan Citterman grabbed nine rebounds, while Maranda Jerzak added eight points and six boards.

Lincoln HI (0-10 overall, 0-7 Camden) continues action on the road against Hills-Beaver Creek on Monday, while Lakeview (5-9 overall, 3-5 Camden) is at Wabasso on Friday.

Jon Harmening recorded 19 points and nine rebounds on the night as Jackson County Central defeated Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 60-47 in non-conference basketball action Friday night in Jackson.

Shadrack Wacker chipped in 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Huskies, while Taylor Christopher added nine points and two steals.

Alec Swan poured in 19 points and dished out five assists for the Panthers, while Parker Lanoue added 12 points and three steals. Josh Kirk pulled down eight rebounds to go with his four points.

TMB (4-7 overall, 2-3 Camden) will take on Central Minnesota Christian Tuesday in Prinsburg.
