International Food Festival April 13
The 23rd International Food Festival will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, April 13, in the Conference Center Ballroom at Southwest Minnesota State University.
This annual event features native foods of SMSU international students.
"The students prepare the foods themselves, and it's a good way to taste native dishes and celebrate our international students and their cultures," said Michael Kurowski, coordinator of International Student Services at SMSU.
SMSU has 124 international students from 23 countries. Many of those countries will be represented at the International Food Festival. Student chefs will compete for a trio of prizes.
Only 150 tickets are available and can be obtained from the International Student Services office, SC 237, or by calling 507-537-6699. SMSU international students are also selling tickets. Tickets are $7 for those 15 and older, $5 for those ages 5-15 and free to anyone under 5.
