The Vikings, who finished the season 30-2, trailed 29-28 at the half despite holding a dominant 22-8 edge on the glass. But their rebounding wore down the Cougars in the second half. Minneota finished with a 40-20 rebounding edge for the game.
Ada-Borup was led by forward Megan Kolness. Kolness had a perfect shooting performance last year against the Vikings on her way to a game-high 25 points, but with Hennen guarding her Saturday she was held to 12 points on 3 of 11 shooting.
