MARSHALL - "Thank God we were both back at the hotel and safe."
Those were the words of Shana Allex of Marshall, hours after a pair of explosions killed three people and injured more than 130 Monday near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
Allex's husband, Lee, was a participant in the race.
"My husband finished before, and we were in the process of walking back to the hotel when it happened," Shana Allex said. "We heard about it on TV."
There were 539 Minnesotans entered in the marathon.
