MARSHALL - Jeremy Steven Robb, 28, of Marshall, pleaded innocent in Lyon County District Court April 30 to charges of predatory offender - failure to register address. A complaint alleges Robb failed to notify law enforcement of his new address in Marshall in December, after leaving his prior registered address in Sleepy Eye. A trial date was set for June 19, with a date certain of Sept. 9. A pretrial hearing was set for June 11.

MARSHALL - Modesto Moreno, 25, of Lynd, pleaded innocent in Lyon County District Court April 30 to two counts of first degree burglary charges and charges of simple robbery - liability for crimes of another. A complaint alleges Moreno or an accomplice entered a Lyon County residence, assaulted a man and stole items from him on Dec. 22. A trial date was set for Aug. 15-16, with a date certain of Sept. 11-12. A pretrial hearing was set for Aug. 9.

MARSHALL - Katherine Jolynn Muehler, 26, of Vesta, appeared in Lyon County District Court April 30 on charges of financial transaction card fraud. A complaint alleges Muehler used another person's credit card to receive more than $1,000 in cash advances in Lyon County and Yellow Medicine County between Oct. 25 and Nov. 5. A hearing was set for May 14.

MARSHALL - Tito Javier Briones Mendez, Jr., 27, of Marshall, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court April 30 to charges of third degree driving while impaired, court records said. Mendez drove with an alcohol level of .11 in Marshall on Feb. 22, and had a prior DWI conviction in 2006, court records said. Mendez was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 150 days stayed, pay a $700 fine and two years probation with conditions include serve 30 days in jail, and abide by laws.

MARSHALL - Gigi Marie Alter, 49, of Marshall, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court April 30 to charges of driving after cancellation, court records said. Alter drove with a cancelled license in Marshall on April 17, court records said. Alter was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 166 days stayed, and two years probation with conditions including serve 14 days in jail with credit for 14 days already served, and abide by laws. Additional charges of theft and failure to provide proof of insurance were dismissed.

MARSHALL - Julie Ann Somora, 42, of Marshall, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court April 30 to charges of child endangerment, court records said. Somora allowed marijuana to be given to a Marshall teen on Jan. 28, court records said. Somora received a stayed sentence of one year in jail, and was sentenced to pay a $300 fine and two years probation with conditions including complete 200 hours of Sentenced to Service, take a class and abide by laws.

MARSHALL - Preston Allan Sanow, 26, of Marshall, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court May 3 to dangerous weapon charges and possession of a small amount of marijuana, court records said. Sanow discharged a revolver inside a Marshall residence on Nov. 28, court records said. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered, and a sentencing hearing was set for June 25.

MARSHALL - Nicholas Allan Jorgensen, 19, of Byron, appeared in Lyon County District Court May 1 on charges of fifth degree controlled substance crime, illegal vehicle window tint, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A complaint alleges Jorgensen possessed drugs in Lyon County on Oct. 4, 2012. A hearing was set for June 25. Bail was set at $3,000 without conditions, or with conditions including appear in court, abstain from alcohol and drugs, and abide by laws.

MARSHALL - Mustafa Ismail Farah, 30, of Marshall, pleaded innocent in Lyon County District Court April 30 to charges of refusal to submit to a chemical test. A complaint alleges Farah refused testing in Marshall on April 14, 2012. A trial date was set for July 31, with a date certain of Sept. 25. A pretrial hearing was set for July 23.

MARSHALL - Thomas Daniel Burt, 27, of Marshall, pleaded innocent in Lyon County District Court April 30 to charges of second degree driving while impaired and reckless driving. A complaint alleges Burt drove while impaired in Marshall on March 16, and had two prior DWI convictions within 10 years. A trial date was set for June 5, with a date certain of Sept. 23. A pretrial hearing was set for May 28.

MARSHALL - Wendell Buck Burnett, 19, of Marshall, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court April 30 to charges of third degree driving while impaired, court records said. Burnett drove with an alcohol level of .16 in Marshall on March 29, court records said. Burnett received a stayed sentence of 180 days in jail, an $800 fine, and two years probation with conditions including complete 40 hours of community service work, abstain from alcohol and drugs, and abide by laws. Additional charges of open bottle and failure to stop at a traffic signal were dismissed.
