WESTBROOK - Services for Howard Lester Bloch, 90, of Westbrook, formerly of Fridley and Rush City, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Westbrook Senior Center. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the Center. Burial is in Westbrook Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service - Westbrook Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died Friday, May 31, 2013, at Westbrook Good Samaritan Care Center.

He was born April 8, 1923, in Westbrook to Herman and Caroline (Frank) Bloch. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1948, doing mine sweeps on the USS Greenlet.

Survivors include his sons Kenneth Bloch of Columbia Heights and Bradford Bloch of Fridley; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; step children Bob Taylor, Sandra Fashnecht and Ernie Taylor; sister Irene Spensley of Columbia Heights; and two sisters-in-law.
