Leo Zerr's ground ball through the infield scored Jesus Macias and preserved a 6-5 victory for the Minneota Mudhens on their home field Friday night.
The Mudhens had held a 5-0 lead entering the ninth inning when the Tracy Express erupted for five runs off of reliever Danny Hennen.
Tied 5-5 in the bottom of the ninth, Macias led off after being plunked by Tracy's Jordan Lanoue. Macias advanced to third and later scored on Zerr's grounder to secure the Gopher League win.
Hennen, who relieved Matt Musser in the eighth inning, picked up the win for Minneota, which improves to 4-8 on the year.
Musser held Tracy scoreless for seven-plus innings of work and also swung the bat well, going 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Macias was 2-for-2, scoring two runs and swiping three bags.
Jeremy Hoflock went 2-for-4 for Tracy (1-7 overall), while Parker Lanoue finished 2-for-5 with a double and drove in two runs. Brandon Kerr also smashed a double.
The Express are back in action on Saturday for a road game at Hadley. Minneota travels to Dawson on Wednesday to take on the Drakes on in its next contest.
