To the editor:

After 100 years of saving lives the American Cancer Society is more committed than ever to making this cancers last century.

In Lyon County, on average, 124 residents are diagnosed with cancer each year.

This number is too high. Please join our fight to lower this number to zero.

How and where you ask?

Relay For Life of Lyon County

20-year anniversary

Friday, June 21, 2013

Opening Ceremony starts at 7 p.m.

Join us to honor, support and personally participate by joining the Relay community. Your participation will help us fight cancer and come one step closer to finding a cure.

The relay experience is filled with activity and a passion for a common cause that leaves a lasting impression on the participants. Teams have activities going on, campsite fundraisers and local vendors selling food. As we celebrate The American Cancer Society's 100-year anniversary, it is the perfect time to experience it yourself. It is a sight worth seeing, especially as the darkness sets in and candlelight shinesthe track will take your breath away.

Together we will Celebrate, Remember and Fight Back!
