IVANHOE - A Minnesota health professional was found not negligent in a wrongful death lawsuit tried in Lincoln County District Court this week, court records said. The civil suit was filed in Lincoln County in March 2012, on behalf of the family of a Minneota man who died of complications related to a blood clot in 2010.

The complaint in the case alleged that Brian Sullivan, M.D., of Andover was negligent in interpreting the results of a CT scan conducted on Duane L. Wenker, of Minneota, in May 2010.

The complaint alleged Sullivan's interpretation of the scan resulted in delayed treatment for a blood clot and led to Wenker's death. Sullivan and his employer, Suburban Radiologic Consultants Ltd., of Minneapolis, denied the allegations, court records said.

A jury trial for the case began June 3. After deliberation Monday, jurors found Sullivan not negligent in his interpretation of the CT scan, court records said.
