Marcia Edna Rowell was born March 8, 1917, to Walter and Ruby (Erion) Clark in Sherwood, N.D. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and attended Sherwood Public Schools. As a young woman she moved with her sister to southwestern Minnesota.

She was a housewife and mother who enjoyed quilting, embroidery, gardening, playing cards, bowling, Scrabble, crossword puzzles and keeping a daily journal, but what she really loved was spending time with her family. Marcia attended Tracy Methodist Church and in the past was active in the church women's groups. She was also a member of the Tracy Hospital Auxiliary and served many over the years in the hospital snack bar.
