MAPLE GROVE, Minn. (AP) — A Maple Grove woman who was charged with misdemeanors after she drove into a pond, killing two of her five children, is now accused of neglecting one of the surviving girls.
A St. Paul Pioneer Press report (http://strib.mn/1jRhCG5 ) says 23-year-old Marion Guerrido has a hearing next week in juvenile court. She's accused of failing to provide food and medical care for her daughter, who turns 2 this month.
Authorities say the girl suffered brain and organ damage in the November accident.
In April the parents told a child-protection investigator they'd removed the girl's feeding tube over infection concerns. But the parents didn't pursue medical care, and they missed appointments.
The newspaper was unable to reach the parents. Their attorney, Rick Petry, declined to discuss the case.
