Milroy Yankees 5, Granite Falls 1
Nathan Deutz tossed eight straight scoreless innings to help carry the Milroy Yankees to a 5-1 win over Granite Falls Wednesday night in Milroy.
The Kilowatts scored one unearned run off Deutz in the top of the ninth. Deutz finished the game with eight strikeouts and gave up seven hits.
Milroy score one run in the third and put up four in the sixth to take control. Austin Deutz went 2-for-4 with to two RBIs to lead the Yankees at the plate, and Justin Schlemmer was also 2-for-4.
The win moves Milroy to 10-2 overall and 8-1 in Corn Belt League action. They'll return to the diamond Sunday for a 1:30 p.m. game at Raymond.

Milroy Irish 12, Tracy 0
The Milroy Irish exploded for 10 runs over the first two innings of a 12-0 win in seven innings against the Tracy Express Wednesday night in Tracy.
The Irish ended Express starter Parker Lanoue's night early, scoring four runs in the first inning. Tracy reliever Tylan Gylling didn't fare any better in the second inning, as the Irish tacked on six more runs.
Tyler Peterson had a strong day at the plate and from the mound for Milroy. He worked five scoreless innings, striking out seven batters and walking three. Dan Frank tossed two shutout innings to close the game. Peterson was also 3-for-5 with two RBIs.
Milroy's Isaac Dolan was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. He had a double for the lone extra-base hit in the game.
The Irish (9-7 overall) play at Hadley Saturday with a 2 p.m. start.

Lamberton 9, Leavenworth 5
Lamberton's Shane Schoborg fanned nine batters over nine innings on his way to a complete game victory for the Lamberton Long Sox over Leavenworth Wednesday night. Schoborg was struck for 11 hits, but the Long Sox prevailed 9-5 in the Tomahawk East League game in Lamberton.
Tyler Reiner blasted two doubles for the Long Sox, who scored seven runs in the fifth inning to take command of the game. Blake Altermatt and Johnny Pistulka each had doubles as well, while Altermatt and Donald Strand finished the game with two hits each for Lamberton.
The Long Sox improve to 10-5 on the season (9-3 TEL) with the win and return to action Friday night against Essig in Lamberton.

Luverne 10, Hadley 2
The Luverne Redbirds scored 10 unanswered runs in a 10-2 win over the Hadley Buttermakers on Wednesday in Luverne, handing the Buttermakers their first loss in the Gopher League.
The Buttermakers scored a run in each of the first two innings, but posted zeros over the final seven. Joe Larson recorded three of Hadley's seven total hits for the game, finishing 3-for-4 on the night. Max Zwart also had a double. Zach Bruns started and took the loss in six-plus innings.
Andrew DeBoer had one of four doubles in the game for Luverne, and also picked up the win over six solid innings on the bump. Phil Paquette chipped in with two doubles for the Redbirds.
Hadley (12-6 overall, 8-1 Gopher) returns to action on Saturday, as they host the Milroy Irish for a 2 p.m. game.
