86-year-old missing for more than 3 hours before being found

An 86-year-old woman in Redwood County went missing from a rural residence 3 miles northeast of Walnut Grove for more than 3 hours on Monday before being found by authorities.

Grace Shattuck, 86, had been missing since noon on Monday; she was found shortly after 3:30 p.m.

Along with a helicopter search from the Minnesota State Patrol, Walnut Grove Police, Walnut Grove Fire and Ambulance, Tracy Fire and Tracy Ambulance assisted the Redwood County Sheriff's Department in a search on foot.

Shattuck, who suffers from dementia, according to the sheriff's department, was located in good condition near Redwood County Road 10.
