GRANITE?FALLS?- Residents of Granite Falls are in disbelief after a woman was found shot to death and a man critically wounded early Monday morning, while a search for a person of interest continues.
Granite Falls Police responded to a 911 call in the 1100 block of Prentice Street at approximately 3:30 a.m. Monday, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety said. Officers discovered a 28 year-old female dead of apparent gunshot wounds, and a critically injured 28 year-old male. The male victim was transported to Granite Falls Hospital by ambulance and later transported by air to Hennepin County Medical Center.
During the preliminary investigation, Andrew Joseph Dikken, 28, of Granite Falls, was identified as a person of interest, the DPS said. Dikken is believed to be driving a 1996 brown GMC Sierra "club cab" pickup with a topper and Minnesota license number 032-GGL.

State, county and municipal law enforcement cordoned off a block of Prentice Street in Granite Falls on Monday following a reported homicide in the early morning hours.
"It's a shock to say the least," said Dan Enninga of the incident. "My son and his wife are good friends with her (the victim)."
Krystal Enninga said the victim graduated the year after she did.
"There's really not a whole lot to say," she said. "There's been a lot of people affected. You just never know."
Penny Krogstad is the owner of Willies Corner Store in Granite Falls, which is two to three blocks away from the crime scene.
"It's horrible, it was a horrible thing,"?she said."I think it was early in the morning."
Ron Thorkelson just lives one block away.
"It's unbelievable what has happened,"?he said. "It's just hard to believe this could happen."
Steve VanWatermeulen said Monday afternoon he just found out about the incident.
"It's kind of a surprise, small town and all,"?he said.
Law enforcement is currently looking for Dikken. Anyone knowing his whereabouts is asked to contact the Granite Falls Police Department, the Yellow Medicine Sheriff's Office, or 911. Dikken should not be approached as he may be armed and dangerous.
The BCA, Granite Falls Police and Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office continue to investigate.
