The Marshall Tigers will be hosting a Tackle Cancer Game when they play the Luverne Cardinals on Friday at the Schwan Regional Event Center.
This is the second year of Tackle Cancer, which is sponsored by the Minnesota Football Coaches Association and the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund.
In 2012, Minnesota high school football programs raised more that $120,000 to help find a cure for cancer.
"I am sure everyone has been around someone who has battled cancer. This is our chance to help," Marshall head football coach Terry Bahlmann said. "It is a great project and, last year, the Marshall home game raised almost $1,000 for Coaches vs. Cancer."
On Friday, the Marshall football managers will be collecting donations from spectators as they enter the stadium.
