MARSHALL - The Marshall High School soccer team has through of a unique way to show athletic pride and earn money to support its program.

For $25, members of the Tigers' varsity soccer team will come to your house to paint a 3-foot by 3-foot tiger paw on your driveway or any another asphalt or concrete surface of your choosing.

Jill Gordon, an organizer of this MHS?soccer fundraiser, said the group's slogan is "Show Your Pride with a Tiger Drive."

"We wanted to show our support for the Tigers and the Marshall High School soccer program," Gordon said. "We came up with this idea to paint tiger paws on driveways or sidewalk that lead up to houses so that Tiger fans in the community can also show their support."

The tiger paw can be painted in the three different ways - one that is orange, one that is black or one that is orange and black.

"The tiger paw is painted with a durable outdoor weather-resistant latex paint," Gordon said. "They have been holding up really well."

Gordon said it takes about 15 minutes to paint the tiger paw and about an hour to dry, depending on the weather conditions of the day.

Fans who are interested in obtaining a tiger paw for outdoor display, can download an order form www.marshallyouthsoccer.com near the bottom of the main page or contact any MHS soccer family, including Gordon at 829-1719.

More information can be obtained at tonight's home soccer match, when Marshall meets Worthington in a South Central Conference contest at The Schwan Regional Event Center.

Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m.
