The Marshall soccer team were victorious on the road, picking up a 2-1 win against Glencoe-Silver Lake Thursday.
Sam Duran scored a minute into the game on a cross from John Kerkaert to put the Tigers up 1-0.
G-SL's Kyle Beck knotted the score with a goal earned with 10 minutes remaining in the first half.
"It was a sloppy game," Marshall head coach Andy Larson said. "We dominated the possession but just couldn't put them away. After Sam scored, we played pretty poorly the rest of the first half. The wind may have been a factor as it was against us, blowing like crazy."
Larson said the Tigers played much better in the second half.
"We possessed well and had a lot more chances," he said. "We hit the post three times. We are dealing with four or five injuries at this time, so we had to sit a few of our key players. We got the win and that is the important thing."
Duran scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick with 20 minutes left in the game on a G-SL handball in the box.
Marshall will take the field again on Tuesday a home against Southwest Minnesota Christian.
The MACCRAY tennis team went 7-0 against the Marshall Tigers Thursday in Clara City.
