The Marshall Hoops Club has scheduled two sessions for mandatory registration on Sunday at the Marshall High School cafeteria.
Players and their parents are expected to attend.
From 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday, players from third through sixth grade will register. From 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday, players from seventh and eighth grades will register.
There will be a Fall Instructional League for boys in third through sixth grade.
This league begins Oct. 29 and ends Dec. 14. Practices are tentatively scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7:15 p.m. for third and fourth grades and from 7:25 to 8:50 p.m. for fifth and sixth grades. League games will take place on Saturdays with times to be determined.
The fee for this league is $60, which includes gym rental, coaches and T-shirts for each player.
There will be a Hoops Traveling League for boys from fourth through eighth grades.
Fourth through sixth grade teams will be based on evaluations from the Fall Instructional League. Seventh and eighth grade players will be allowed to attend tryout sessions Nov. 24 at MHS. The seventh grade tryout will take place from 3:30 to 5 p.m., while the eighth grade tryout will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. These teams will be evaluated and determined by the MHS boys basketball coaching staff.
Practices and tournaments for the Hoops Travel League will begin January 2014. The teams will practice approximately twice per week with dates and times to be determined.
The fee for the Hoops Travel League is $185 per players and includes seven tournaments. There is discount for multiple players in a family. That fee is $185 for the first player and $100 for each additional player. The fees for the Hoops Travel League do not include fees for the Fall Instructional League.
Any registration that takes place after Nov. 1 will be $215.
