PREP VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: No. 1-ranked Minneota handles No. 10-ranked TMB in sweep

MINNEOTA - The Minneota volleyball team stayed perfect in the Camden Conference with a sweep of Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on Tuesday night.

The Vikings were led by Taylor Reiss, who had a 15-kill, 16-dig double-double. Molly Hennen pitched in 11 kills and was 13-of-13 serving with three aces.

Jessie Nelson had seven kills for the Panthers to go with a block. Gabbie Gervais was 9-for-9 serving and had 16 set assists.

Dawson-Boyd put together a solid all-around performance, topping the MACCRAY Wolverines in straight sets Tuesday in Dawson.

The Blackjacks had a balanced attack, collecting double-digit kills from four players: Katarina Kuhlmann (17), Justine Flattum (12), Justine Lee (12) and Kelly Husby (11), to earn the 25-17, 25-20, 25-23 victory.

Kylie Schuelke anchored the Dawson-Boyd defense with 35 digs, while Andrea Lee added 17 digs and 24 set assists. Flattum also contributed 28 set assists, while Husby knocked down four ace blocks.

The Blackjacks (14-6, 7-4 Camden) will be back in action Friday as they compete at the Subway Classic at Southwest Minnesota State University.

The Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights overpowered Renville County West in the fifth set to earn a Camden Conference win Tuesday in Tyler.

The Knights won 25-16, 17-25, 25-21, 17-25, 15-8 to improve to 15-6 overall and 9-2 in conference action. Janel Wichern went 21-for-21 with an ace at the serving line for RTR, while Destinee Strand was 17-for-17 with an ace. Wichern also contributed 14 kills, eight digs and three ace blocks, while Strand added 30 set assists and nine digs. Anna Madsen collected a team-high 11 digs, while Justine Possail and Dana Schaefer chipped in eight kills apiece.

The Knights (15-6, 9-2 Camden) will take on Fulda and Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on Friday at the Subway Classic in Marshall.

Brianna Hoffman had 15 kills anf four blocks for the Lakers, who received 19 digs from Briatta Buntjer and 25 set assists from Sadie Stelter. Madi Nelson (19 of 19) served an ace, while Steler (13 of 14) recorded two more.

CANBY - Canby snuck by Lincoln HI in five sets Tuesday night.

After the Lancers took the first two sets Lincoln HI answered back, winning the third and fourth sets 25-22. Canby pulled-out a 15-6 win in the fifth set to take the match.

Brook Bauman led the Lancers with 21 digs, 16 kills and went 11-for 12 from the serving line with two aces. Abbi Denekamp and Abbey Pederson each handed-out 23 assists in the victory.

Morgan Citterman led the way for the Rebels contributing 20 assists, 12 digs, five kills, one block and went 23-for-23 from the line with three aces. Brandi Barke added eight kills and seven digs in the effort.

The Sting were led by Jordan Hinz with nine kills. Chyanne Sand added eight kills, two blocks and 11 digs to go with an 8-for-11 serving performance. Makayla Drydahl also had eight kills and a block to go with two service aces.
