The Vikings preserved the victory with scores of 25-10, 25-10, 25-4
"We talked about not looking past any opponent because this is tournament time and anything can happen," Minneota head coach Steph Hennen said.
There was no letdown in MHS during the section semifinals.
Among its top servers, the Vikings missed only one attempt. Molly Hennen (20-of-20, one ace), Megan Larson 12-of-12, one ace), Payton Boerboom (16-of-17, one ace), Shelby Corbin (8-of-8, one ace) and Taylor Reiss (7-of-7, one ace) all served with precision.
Reiss added match highs in kills (16) and blocks (four) as Minneota improved to 27-3 overall. Molly Hennen topped the Vikings with 16 digs, and Megan Larson set up 28 assists.
Minneota plays Dawson-Boyd for the Class A Section 3 North Division Tournament championship on Tuesday at Southwest Minnesota State.

MARSHALL - The Dawson-Boyd Blackjacks came away with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Renville County West on Friday to advance to the next round in the Section 3A North bracket.
After D-B picked up a quick win in the first set, the Jaguars answered back with a 25-22 victory in the second. The Blackjacks were able to edge out RCW with 25-21 scores in the third and fourth sets.
Dawson-Boyd was led by Andrea Lee who posted 25 digs and 23 set assists. Justine Flattum contributed all over the court with 21 assists, 19 digs, nine kills and one serving aces. Nicole Jurgenson and Katarina Kuhlman each knocked down four blocks in the win.
The Blackjacks (20-7) will continue play in the Class A Section 3 South Division Tournament against Minneota on Tuesday at Southwest Minnesota State.

MONTEVIDEO - Central Minnesota Christian defeated Lakeview 25-13, 25-15, 25-23 in a Class A Section 3 North match Friday night in Montevideo.
Madi Nelson and Bailey Bungjer both served 8-for-8 for the Lakers, who finished the season with a 15-14 record.
Brianna Hoffman had 10 kills, and Brooklyn Hartle and Katie Timm both recorded three for Lakeview. Sadie Stelter had 17 set assists and four digs for the Lakers and Brianna Bungjer had 10 digs.
MCC 3, RRC 2
Murray County Central snuck by Red Rock Central in a 3-2 victory in the Class A Section 3 South tournament.
MCC claimed the first set in a 25-16 win. RRC came back to take the second and third sets. MCC answered back with wins in the fourth and fifth sets to take the match.
The Rebels dominated defensively with team total of 141 digs with Kristi Bose collecting 25 and Jade Giese with 21. Bose also added 22 kills and one block. Paris Thomas and Giese handed-out 28 and 21 assists, respectively.
The Falcons were had top-performances by Olivia Bittner, who knocked-down 20 kills and MiKaela Smith with 36 set assists.
MCC will advance to the next round of playoffs next Tuesday and take on Southwestern United in Windom.

LUVERNE - Wabasso put up a fight to the finish in its 3-2 loss to Southwest Minnesota Christian during the semifinal round of the Section 3A South playoffs.
After falling 17-25 in the opening game, the Rabbits (1d-4) came back to win sets two and three. Southwest Minnesota Christian was able to secure its victory after taking sets four and five, 25-21, 15-13.
Wabasso's Larissa Rohlik provided 25 assists, 14 digs and went 24-for-25 from the serving line with three aces. Chelsey Guetter added 15 digs and 14 kills in the effort. Morgan Frank and Guetter each tallied four blocks.

Despite a 26-24 second-set win, the Chargers were unable to pull away from the second-seeded Wildcats.
Senior Dana Comnick controlled the floor contributing 20 digs, 19 kills and going 14-for-14 from the line with one ace. Abby Herding lent 40 set assists in the effort. Cassidy Mischke and Jordaan Joel each added three blocks.
