LYON COUNTY - Theft reported at 3:31 p.m. Wednesday on the 2400 block of U.S. Highway 59 is under investigation, the Lyon County Sheriff's Department said.

MARSHALL - A vehicle window was broken and a wallet with its contents was taken in an incident reported at 10:43 a.m. Wednesday on the 400 block of Village Drive, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL - A Marshall man, 29, was arrested on a McLeod County warrant and brought to the Law Enforcement Center in an incident reported at 12:02 p.m. Wednesday on the 500 block of Hudson Avenue, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL - A Marshall man, 26, was arrested on a Lyon County warrant and brought to the Law Enforcement Center in an incident reported at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday on the 800 block of North Bruce Street, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL - Fraud that was reported at 2:23 p.m. Wednesday was referred to the county it happened in, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL - Parties were counseled in a harassment incident reported at 2:32 p.m. Wednesday in Marshall, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL - Theft of cellphones and iPods reported at 11:26 p.m. Wednesday at Southwest Minnesota State University is under investigation, Marshall Police said.

BALATON - Check fraud reported at 10:48 a.m. Wednesday on the 400 block of East U.S. Highway 14 is under investigation, the Lyon County Sheriff's Department said.

Accidents

MARSHALL - A 2003 International driven by a Vesta man, 48, received light damage and a 2000 Chevrolet driven by a Marshall man, 61, received light damage in a property damage accident reported at 8:06 a.m. Wednesday on the intersection of 3rd Street and Main Street, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL - A personal injury accident reported at 9:41 p.m. Wednesday in Broadmoor Valley is under investigation, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL - A 2011 Chevrolet driven by a Marshall man, 24, received moderate damage when it struck a sign pole in a property damage accident reported at 9:57 p.m. Wednesday on the 400 block of West Main Street, Marshall Police said. The pole was not damaged, Police said.
