In Monday's edition of The Marshall Independent's sports section, errors were made in a story featuring the Marshall Tigers girls swimming and diving team.
Ashley Dunn qualified for the MSHSL Class A Girls Swimming and Diving Championships in the 100 butterfly in 1 minute, 1.76 seconds, which gave her a fifth-place finish at the Section 3 Championships on Saturday at Willmar High School.
Dunn nearly qualified for the state meet in 100 backstroke. Her time of 1:03.25 was 0.44 seconds off the pace in that event for a fifth-place finish.
At the 2012 state meet, Dunn qualified for the preliminary round in the backstroke. In 2011 and 2012 state meets, she swan on Marshall's 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams.
In addition, Marshall's Blythe Bell improved from her effort in the 500 freestyle during the section preliminary round (14th place) to an 11th-place performance in the finals with a season-best 5:44.31. Also, Abby Blanchette improved from 16th (section preliminary) to 12th in the finals with a season-best 2:24.11.
