MARSHALL - Sebastian Landry scored a hat trick late in the game of Marshall's 8-1 Southwest Conference rout of Windom Area on Tuesday at Lockwood Motors Ice Arena.
Landry produced the Tigers' final three goals with two coming in the second period. He began the scoring with a goal in the third.
MHS took a 3-0 first-period lead on goals from Casper Larsen (power play), Taylor Rasmussen and Blaine Moran (power play). Brent Haukom and Moran assisted on Larsen's goal, while the final two tallies of the period were unassisted.

Marshall went ahead 5-0 on second-period goals from Andrew Bell and Derek Rasmussen, both of which were power-play goals. That led to Landry scoring his hat trick.
Bell assisted on Derek Rasmussen's goal and Landry's first goal. Alex Buysse assisted on Landry's third goal.
Windom Area's Devin Nielsen broke up the shutout in the third period with a goal assisted by Jack Mellstrom.
Goaltender Mason Campion made 29 saves on 30 shots to preserve Marshall's victory. Garrett Schumacher, who yielded six tallies, was the losing goalie for Windom Area.
The Tigers (2-3-0 overall, 2-1 Southwest) host Redwood Valley on Thursday. The Eagles (3-3-0 overall, 3-1-0 Southwest) lead Marshall by a half-game for second place in the league standings.
