BOYS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Lancers outlast Vikings

CANBY - Canby outscored Minneota/Lincoln HI 11-2 in overtime to earn a 66-57 Camden Conference win Tuesday at home.

Zach Nuy contributed 25 points and 13 rebounds and Josh Gallegos recorded 18 points and 18 boards to lead the Lancers. Michael Slaba added 12 points and seven assists in the winning effort.

Daniel Harrison dropped 17 points for the Vikings, while Dylan Tolk had 15 and Austin Buysse 10.

Minneota/LH is back in action on the road against Lakeview on Thursday. Canby will host Murray County Central on Saturday.

DAWSON - Michael Lee nearly recorded a triple-double as Dawson-Boyd continued its winning ways Thursday in Dawson.

Lee went 15-for-15 from the field, contributing 31 points, nine steals and eight rebounds in the 82-21 Blackjack win over Renville County West. Noah Stelter added 17 points, while Joey Lee chipped in 16 points, 10 assists and six steals.

Dawson-Boyd is back in action at home against Lac qui Parle Valley on Thursday.

SLAYTON - The Murray County Central boys basketball team fell to Worthington 81-52 in non-conference action on Tuesday night.

The Rebels were led by Logan Kluis, who had 15 points in the loss. Zach Ostman had three points, but also pulled down 9 rebounds and had two assists.

MCC will be in action again on Thursday when they travel to Mountain Lake to face Mountain Lake Area in Red Rock Conference play.

SLEEPY EYE - The Wabasso boys basketball team suffered its first conference loss to Sleepy Eye St. Mary's 72-69 in Sleepy Eye on Tuesday.

Tanner Bock had a 22-point, 33-rebound double double while Neil Eichten led all scorers with 30 points and three assists. Matt Zeug added 13 points in the loss.

The Rabbits will be in action again on Thursday when they face Russell-Tyler-Ruthton in the Adrian Tournament.
