GIRLS BASKETBALL: Morris Area rallies past YME

GRANITE FALLS - The Yellow Medicine East girls basketball team fell to Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 80-60 after holding a 40-40 tie at halftime in West Central Conference action Thursday.

Chyanne Sand led the Sting with 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals. Hailey Enstad added 10 points, six rebounds and two steals in the loss.

Makayla Dyrdahl and Jordan Hinz each scored nine.

YME will be in action again tonight when they play host to Paynesville Area.

TYLER - With no time on the clock, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton's Kaylie Nielsen sank a pair of free throws to give the Knights a 45-44 win over MACCRAY on Thursday night in Camden Conference play.

Nielsen led RTR with a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double. She also had a pair of blocks in the win.

Justine Possail scored 14 points while Nicole Enemark added 7.

The Knights will be in action again tonight when they travel to Renville to face Renville County West.
