WABASSO - After the score was knotted at 33 at the half, the Wabasso Rabbits escaped with one-point victory over Tomahawk Conference rival Springfield Friday in Wabasso.
Behind 36 points and seven assists from Neil Eichten and 15 points and 29 rebounds from Tanner Bock, the Rabbits were able to claim the 70-69 victory over the Tigers. Beau Taylor added 10 points, while Jonathan Nelson contributed six points, three assists and two steals.
Springfield had four players in double-figure scoring, with Kale Meendering (18), Cooper Scheffler (16), Carter Erickson (15) and Tyler Vogel (12).
RTR 59, TMB 54
TYLER - In a battle to finish, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton snuck past Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 59-54 in the conference battle.
TMB held a three-point advantage at halftime but couldn't hold on for victory. RTR had two players with double-doubles to secure the win for the Knights. Brett Vercruysse scored 28 points, 12 from the free throw line, and had 11 rebounds. Brett Peterson recorded 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Spencer Smith had a big night for the Panthers, leading the team with 22 points, nine rebounds and seven blocks. Josh Kirk added 17 points, with nine from beyond the arc. Also in double-digits for TMB was Brett Swenhaugen, who had 13 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
RTR improved on their eight-game winning streak with a record of 8-2 overall. They will host Renville County West Tuesday.
Minneota/LHI 66, KMS 23
MINNEOTA - Minneota/Lincoln HI ran away from Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunberg in Camden Conference action.
The Vikings were able to hold the Fighting Saints to just 10 points in the first half.
Dylan Tolk inspired the Vikings with a double-double on the night, scoring 27 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Tolk also led the team with five blocks.
Jordan Beck contributed nine points and four assists. Daniel Harrison and Nathan Pavek each added eight points in the victory.
Minneota improves to 7-2 overall and will host MACCRAY Tuesday.
Lakeview 72, Edgerton 30
EDGERTON - The Lakeview boys basketball team trampled Edgerton Friday night in its 72-30 victory.
The Lakers had four players scoring in double-digits led by Jonah Dovre recording a 14 point, 10 rebound double-double. Jaden Hoffman, Jordan Larsen and Jacob Neu each knocked-down 10 points in the victory. Dovre also led the team with four blocks while Hoffman added six assists and four steals.
Edgerton was led by Austin Mertens with 12 points and Jesse Berning with eight.
Lakeview will host Dawson-Boyd Tuesday night.
