PREP WRESTLING ROUNDUP: Quad County dominates TMB/WWG

TRACY - Quad County won 13 of 14 bouts during a 63-6 victory against Tracy-Milroy-Balaton/Westbrook-Walnut Grove on Friday.

Jake Roiger (106 pounds), Jordan Odegard (113), Ethan Thein (120), Colten Specht (126), Evan Suter (138), Kirby Winson (145), Dylan Johnson (152), Wyatt Hatch (160), Hayden Johnson (170), Mason Schmitz (182), Brian Bratsch (195), Zach Fischer (220) and Lnadon Evans (285).

At 132, Logan Axford pinned Austin Friese in 2:43 for the only TMB/WWG victory.

106: Jake Roiger (QC) decision Nester Perez, 13-9. 113: Jordan Odegard (QC) major decision Nash Mayer, 9-0. 120: Ethan Thein (QC) pinned Tyler Illg, 4:53. 126: Colten Specht (QC) decision Caleb Christian, 5-0. 132: Logan Axford (TMB/WWG) pinned Austin Friese, 2:43. 138: Evan Suter (QC) decision Kyle Gilbertson, 9-4. 145: Kirby Winson (QC) pinned Cooper Olson, 1:38. 152: Dylan Johnson (QC) pinned Sterling Schwartz, 4:46. 160: Wyatt Hatch (QC) pinned Austin Bucholz, 0:33. 170: Hayden Johnson (QC) technical fall River Zvorak, 16-0. 182: Mason Schmitz (QC) won by forfeit. 195: Brian Bratsch (QC) pinned Cole Olson, 0:30. 220: Zach Fischer (QC) decision Kenny Her, 3-2, 2OT. 285: Landon Evans (QC) pinned Lane Anderson, 3:08.

Vikings go 2-1 in quad

The Minneota/Lincoln HI wrestling team competed in a quadrangular meet against Hutchinson, Eden Prairie and Chaska.

The Vikings were able to pick up two team wins, falling only to Hutchinson in a close 36-29 match. Minneota defeated Eden Prairie 47-16 and Chaska 41-28.

At 106, Brock Buysse rallied to three victories on the day. He earned a major decision over Brock Luthens of Hutchinson and pinned Jinlee Gunvalson of Chaska. Brock Buysse's third win came from forfeit.

Eric Hauswedell also picked-up three wins on the day with a 5-4 decision over Dylan Pundsack of Hutchinson and a 13-9 decision over John Knutson of Eden Prairie. Hauswedell's third victory was a pin over Andrew Brkovich in 2:35.

Landyn VanOverbeke went undefeated at 126 securing two pins over Logan Wadsworth of Hutchinson and Chris Timm of Eden Prairie. VanOverbeke also beat Logan Larson of Chaska in an 8-6 decision.

Alec Engler secured three major decision on the day defeating Luke Pundsack of Hutchinson, Cole Vlasak of Eden Prairies and Sam Vance of Chaska.

The fourth Minneota wrestler to secure three wins on the day was Bryce Bruner at 138. Bruner had a 9-1 decision over Tryston Kostelockey of Hutchinson and a 6-3 decision over Nick Schneider of Eden Prairie. Bruner also picked-up a forfeit win.

Leo Buysse picked-up two wins with a a 5-1 decision over Jt Dedeaux of Eden Prairie and a tech fall victory to Anders Severtson of Chaska.

Grant Abraham pinned John Kelly of Eden Prairie and Issac Boyum of Chaska.

With one win overall was Kyle Hennen won an 8-3 decision over Jayden Mackedanz of Hutchinson. Cole Hennen pinned Ethan Link of Hutchinson at 2:14.

Jameson Hettling picked-up a major decision over Josh Reinke of Eden Prairie and Nathan Bueltel had a tech fall over Andrew Hoffman of Chaska.
