MARSHALL - Lakeview pushed its record to 7-15 overall with a 78-62 victory over Red Rock Central Saturday. Max Horner finished the game with a team-high 15 points to go with 14 each from Jonah Dovre and Jaden Hoffman.

The Lakers found success by going into the paint late in the game and Red Rock Central struggled to contain their size.

"We try and get the ball to our bigs involved in the games quite a bit," Lakeview coach Dan Hoffman said. "We haven't been shooting that well from the outside, so we need to work it inside to open up opportunities outside."

Taylor Bunting led the Falcons (1-21) with 17 points while Tom Blomgren finished with 12 points.

RRC coach Brian Walker knew his team had a tough matchup on its hands coming in and tried to furnish his defensive game plan accordingly.

"We knew we couldn't go man-to-man on them," Walker said. "We tried to get them in a press before jumping into a zone quick and I thought our kids did a decent job of allowing us to stay in it. They are a tough matchup if you let them do what they want in the half court."

Red Rock Central will end its regular season against Fulda today, while Lakeview will finish off its regular season at Cedar Mountain/Comfrey (11-11) on Tuesday.
