MARSHALL - While women are shopping at Noble Woman, their men can now shop nearby at Rooted for Men.
The men's clothing store opened in March, right down the street from its counterpart on Main Street in Marshall.
Owner Patty Groff said she has been contemplating opening a store for men for a while because Noble Woman has been doing so well since it opened three years ago and based on indications of interest from male shoppers.

"We had a lot of requests from men who came in to Noble Woman to buy gifts or gift certificates," said Groff, who co-owns Rooted with her daughter, Trisha Rykhus, and Amanda Schnoor.
They were looking for store space for the last year and a half so when the Purple Iris location opened up almost next door to Noble Woman, it seemed ideal.
Groff said the store offers "more options for the guys to shop in Marshall." The store caters to "casual needs - underwear, cologne, jeans, Ts, button-downs, pullovers, belts and wallets," said Groff. "We have six different denim lines including Tommy Bahama, Big Star, Buffalo and Lucky Brand. We are open to input on lines that customers want to see as well."
The clothes are "zip-code protected," added Schnoor. "We're the only store that can carry them."
The clothes are high quality, Groff said.
"Men tend to wear items for a very long time so they need to last," she said.
In addition to quality, the store aims to provide "great service," she said. Her son, Tristen Groff, will be one of the sales associates and the owners are looking to hire more men as well.
The store also carries a line of men's skincare products called Game Day.
"Game Day is designed for active men," said Rykhus. "We have pre-shave scrub, after shave, shower gel. It has a slight masculine scent."
Groff said the name of the store, Rooted for Men, reflects the sentiment in Psalms 1 1-3 which is to be "rooted in your faith" and the stores' mission which is "look good, feel good, do good."
Having successful retail stores "is a great way to tie our faith in with our business and give back to the community," she said.
Groff said by having the stores they are able to donate money to causes such as funding youth mission trips and contributing to the local food shelf.
