The driver of this 2002 International tractor trailer had to be extricated from the cab after his semi turned over on its side at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 59 in Lyon County, about 10 miles north of Marshall. The Minnesota State Patrol, Cottonwood Ambulance and Cottonwood Fire & Rescue and Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. The semi was southbound on Highway 59 when it left the roadway and tipped over. The driver of the semi, Charles Harer, 57, of Dawson, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was brought to Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center, the State Patrol said. He was wearing his seatbelt.
