Har-Mar opening Hardee's in Willmar
Har-Mar Foods Inc. has purchased the land and building of a former restaurant in Willmar and will be opening a Hardee's there in June, the West Central Tribune of Willmar reported on its website.
Lionel Bolden of Marshall, Har-Mar's CEO, said the company is bringing Hardee's back to Willmar because his new partner was interested in Minnesota communities where Hardee's had been successful, the Tribune reported.
There will now be seven Hardee's restaurants in Minnesota, including the one in Marshall.
Markell receives national awards
Dan Markell, FIC and sales representative for Catholic United Financial, recently was recognized at the National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors (NAFIC) in San Diego. Markell earned Platinum level awards for his sales efforts, quality service and fraternal activity. Having just completed five years in the business, he also earned the Rising Star award for achievement since reaching the FIC designation.
ACMC-Marshall announces new Surgery Center manager
ACMC in Marshall announces the addition of Andrew Mitlyng, R.N., as the new ACMC-Marshall Surgery Center manager.
The new surgery center is located on the northeast corner of the ACMC-Marshall clinic at 1521 Carlson Street. Construction began in the fall of 2013, and estimated completion is expected for this fall of 2014. For more details on the ACMC-Marshall Surgery Center, visit www.acmc.com/msc.
Mitlyng received his nursing degree from Rochester Community and Technical College in Rochester. He comes to ACMC with many years of surgical and operating room experience, as well as experience in endoscopy. He also has experience in perioperative and postoperative care.
As manager of the Marshall Surgery Center, he is responsible for directing and supervising the operations of the center. He will provide hands-on guidance and leadership in all areas of operations - while promoting an environment of service excellence for patients and medical staff.
Mitlyng and his wife, Dawn, and their three children live in Marshall.
Sanford Canby Medical Center Top 20 Critical Access Hospital for Quality
The 20 highest ranked Critical Access Hospitals in the country, as determined by iVantage Health Analytics, were recently announced by the National Rural Health Association.
Sanford Canby Medical Center has merited Top 20 Best Practices in Quality designation among all 1,332 CAHs in the nation. The National Rural Health Association considers Sanford Canby to be an exemplar in best practices in all of rural health care.
The quality of care provided in acute myocardial infraction (heart attack), heart failure, pneumonia, congestive heart failure, surgical care and outpatient measures is indexed across the range of national performance for each measure. The index scores are averaged to produce a single composite score.
